Mr Build (Mr Build Online) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- When you order: your name, phone number, email address, the branch where you collect, the items you buy and how you pay. Card details are handled by the payment provider (PayFast), not stored by us.
- When you create an account: the details above plus your password (stored encrypted).
- When you contact us or send a cut list: what you write in the form, and the branch you choose.
- When you browse: technical information such as your browser and pages visited, and cookies that keep your cart and sign-in working.
Why we use it
- To process and prepare your orders for collection, and to handle returns and faulty goods.
- To answer your questions.
- To keep accounting and tax records, as the law requires.
- To send you news or specials, only if you have asked us to. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Only with the people who help us process your order: the branch that prepares it, the payment provider and our website host, each only as far as needed. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently five years). Messages are kept while they are useful to help you, then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us on 015 004 0560 / support@mrbuild-online.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
